Post-Surgical Rehabilitation in Las Vegas
Surgery gets you to the starting line. Rehabilitation is how you finish the race.
Surgery fixes the structural problem.
It doesn't rebuild the strength, mobility, neuromuscular control, and sport-specific capacity that the injury and the surgery itself have taken away. That's what rehabilitation does — and how well it's done determines most of the outcome.
At Pillar Kinetic, post-surgical rehab is one-on-one, criteria-driven, and built around your specific surgery, your tissue healing timeline, and what you're trying to get back to. We follow your surgeon's protocol — and we make the most of every phase within it.

What makes our approach different
We follow your surgeon's protocol — and make the most of every phase Surgical protocols exist for good reason. Tissue healing timelines are real. We don't bypass them. What we do is make sure that within each phase, you're progressing as well as possible — not just waiting out the calendar.
Criteria-based progression, not time-based Two patients with the same surgery at the same time can be in very different places at 6 weeks. We assess readiness at each phase using objective measures — strength testing, range of motion, functional movement quality — rather than advancing purely on elapsed time.
One-on-one, every session Post-surgical rehab at many clinics looks like: exercise sheet, group gym time, therapist checks in briefly. At Pillar Kinetic, your therapist is hands-on with you for the entire session — manual therapy, guided exercise, movement coaching, and assessment happening in real time. That's how we catch problems early and progress you faster.
We coordinate with your surgical team We work within your surgeon's protocol and communicate with your team when questions arise about tissue tolerance, progression timing, or complications. Your care doesn't happen in a silo.
What to expect across your recovery
Early phase — Protecting healing tissue, reducing swelling, restoring basic motion The first weeks are about managing the inflammatory response, restoring range of motion within surgical restrictions, and beginning gentle activation of the muscles surrounding the joint. This phase sets the foundation for everything that follows.
Middle phase — Rebuilding strength and neuromuscular control As tissue heals and restrictions lift, the focus shifts to progressive loading. Strength, stability, and movement quality are rebuilt systematically — not rushed, but not held back either. This is where one-on-one care makes the biggest difference.
Late phase — Functional and sport-specific loading Power, speed, agility, and the specific demands of your sport or daily activities are introduced progressively. This phase bridges the gap between "functioning normally" and "performing fully."
Return to sport or full activity We don't consider the job done when pain resolves or when a surgeon's release is issued. Return to full activity requires meeting objective criteria — limb symmetry, strength ratios, sport-specific testing — and we assess all of them.
Prehab before your surgery
If your surgery is upcoming, you still have time to prepare — and preparation makes a real difference in how you come out the other side. Even a few weeks of targeted prehabilitation improves post-surgical strength and recovery speed.
Your first visit
Your evaluation covers your surgical history, your current restrictions and protocol, your movement quality, and your goals. We'll build a plan that maximizes your recovery within your healing timeline — and give you a clear picture of what the road ahead looks like.
Sessions are one-on-one with your therapist, every visit. No aides, no handoffs.
