Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about physical therapy at Pillar Kinetic? Read the answers to the frequently asked questions listed below.

Pillar Kinetic is a cash-based physical therapy clinic, which means we do not bill insurance directly. Many of our patients submit their receipts to their insurance for possible reimbursement.

Out of network physical therapy (also referred to as cash PT) allows you longer, one-on-one sessions with your therapist, no surprise billing, and customized treatment programs focused on your goals rather than insurance restrictions.

Session costs can vary depending on several factors, but we offer transparent, flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees. After meeting with your physical therapist, a plan will be recommended based on your unique needs.

Yes, patients are able to use HSA or FSA funds to cover cash-based physical therapy sessions.

No, you do not need a referral to see a physical therapist.

You are a PERFECT fit for physio (and us). Some people think that physical therapy is about ending pain – that’s only ONE thing we do. That is our first step in the process and we want to help you find the ROOT cause of the stiffness and help you feel your BEST – better than you’ve ever felt!

An evaluation is a problem solving session lasting 75 minutes. We’ll go through your medical history, your goals, have you do some movements, check mobility and strength, and then you’ll sit down with your Doctor of Physical Therapy to chat about what is going on and what the plan is long-term.

After a consultation with one of our staff members, you will come to our Las Vegas clinic and sit down with a Pillar Kinetic physical therapist for a comprehensive evaluation. We use this 75-minute evaluation to find the root cause, which helps us determine a plan of action that is completely personalized to best reach your goals.

Your initial evaluation typically lasts 75 minutes. Follow-up physical therapy treatments are 1 hour long.

Out of Network Physical Therapy (also referred to as “Cash-based physical therapy”) means that we are out of network with all insurance companies and do not directly bill through insurance. (though you may be eligible for reimbursement directly from your insurance company).

Our patients pay us directly each visit for each session. This allows us to focus all of our attention on the patient and perform treatments to focus on patient goals without being dictated by insurance rules and regulations.

We currently don’t accept Medicare or Medicaid.

By opting to be an out-of-network physical therapy clinic, we are able to focus all of our attention on the patient and perform treatments to focus on patient goals without being dictated by insurance rules and regulations. Our main goal is to help you solve a problem, and this allows us to do that effectively.

Most people start to feel better after just a few sessions. Long term results typically take 2-3 months and can drastically vary depending on someone’s individual situation.

Your initial evaluation typically lasts 75 minutes. Follow-up physical therapy treatments are 1 hour long.

No, physical therapy should not be painful. However, it’s normal to experience soreness or discomfort after your workout. While working with you, our staff will continuously check in to monitor your pain during each session to minimize unwarranted discomfort.

When you visit our Las Vegas physical therapy clinic for a session, we recommend wearing comfortable workout clothing or loose-fitting clothes.

Be sure to wear clothing that allows your physical therapist to access your skin, muscles, and joints around the treatment area for quick and easy access.

If you have long hair, you should consider wearing a hair tie to your session.
