Sports injury rehabilitation in Las Vegas

Injuries we see in athletes
Some need an X-ray before anything else. We check for the signs that do at the first visit, and tell you plainly.
- Ankle sprains: including the ankle that keeps rolling on the same side
- Muscle strains: groin and hip flexor strains from sprinting and cutting
- Shoulder strains: from throwing, falls or contact
- Knee injuries: ligament sprains, meniscus tears and ACL injuries
- Tendon pain: Achilles, patellar and elbow tendons that flare with training
- Overuse injuries: shin pain, stress fractures and IT band pain from running
How the rehab runs
Settle it
Gentle movement within a range that does not sharpen the pain, compression, and loading as soon as the tissue tolerates it. Complete rest and heavy icing tend to slow this stage down.
Rebuild it
Strength and control come back in order, measured against your other side, before the demands of your sport are added.
Prepare for the demands
Power, landing, cutting and reactive work, done tired as well as fresh, because re-injuries tend to happen late in practice or competition.
Test, then return
Strength, hop and balance testing against your other side decides when you go back, and you know what you need to achieve to be cleared.

Who decides when you play
Testing does, not the calendar and not the pain. Pain usually settles weeks before strength, balance and reaction time are back, and going back in that gap is how a second sprain happens.
Where we have them, we compare you with your own pre-season numbers. Our return to sport rehab page sets out the testing in detail.
How long it takes
It depends on the injury. A mild ankle sprain is often two to four weeks, and a mild groin strain often four to six. A tendon problem that has gone on for a while takes longer, three to six months. We give you a realistic timeline at the first visit.
Rehab after an injury
Excellent place to rehab any injury or mobility issue staff is very professional and very knowledgeable and will map out a good game plan for you to recover.

Your first visit after an injury
An hour, one-on-one. We take the history of the injury, check for anything that needs an X-ray first, then test the injured area against your other side and look at the demands of your sport and position.
You leave with a plan, a realistic timeline, and the tests you will need to pass to be cleared.
Book appointmentFrequently asked questions
Will the rehab be specific to my sport?
Yes. The plan starts from what your sport and your position ask of you, and the later stages train those movements directly, whether that means sprinting and cutting, throwing overhead or taking contact.
Do I need a scan first?
Not always. For a sprain, bone that is tender in specific spots, not being able to take four steps, or an obvious deformity calls for an X-ray first. Most sprains do not meet those signs, and we check at the first visit.
Can I keep training while I rehab?
Usually, yes. We change what you do rather than stop everything, so you stay as active as possible while the injury recovers.
I have been cleared to play but do not feel ready. Can you help?
Yes. We start with a full re-evaluation to find the gaps that are left in strength, power and movement, and build from there before you go back to full competition.
